WellOne is a new concept to the Australian market, so naturally you may have questions. We aim to answer the most common questions here in our faqs so you know who we are, how WellOne works and how much it costs.

General Questions

1. What is WellOne?

WellOne is a membership that gives you ongoing discounts on healthcare treatment.

2. What types of healthcare are included?

WellOne members can access Chiropractors, Dentists, Massage Therapists, Myotherapists, Optometrists, Orthodontists, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Podiatrists.

New practitioners are constantly signing and we have a few new professions we are looking at.

3. How does it work?

Simply signup online or call 1300 038 259 to join over the phone and download our free app as your member card.

Then select a participating healthcare provider, make an appointment (making sure you mention you’re a WellOne Member at time of booking), visit them and get a discount.

4. Do I need to have the App?

No. Whilst the app is heaps easier and environmentally friendly, we’re happy to provide you with a membership card (for a small fee) if you’d prefer.

5. What types of memberships are available?

WellOne memberships are based around your situation – Single, Couple, Sole Parent or Family.

A Couple is any two people in a relationship living at the same address. Sole Parent and Family memberships can have any number of dependents up to the age of 24 years of age living at the same address.

1. How much can I save?

WellOne members save up to 40% on their initial consultation with our participating providers, then up to 15% on subsequent visits. Dental specialists such as Orthodontists give a 10% discount off treatments.

How much you save depends on what the practitioner charges and how often you flash the app. The more you use, the more you save.

Buy providing you with a flat % discount for each profession you can work out the $ savings by checking the practitioner fees and working out the calculation.

2. Is there a waiting period?

No. Unlike private health insurance, WellOne works instantly. Join today, save today!

3. Are there any excluded treatments?

No. All treatment is covered and the WellOne discount applies to all item numbers for Dental, Ortho, Massage, Physio, Chiro, Osteo, Myo, Optometry and Podiatry.

4. What is the catch?

No catches. You will be treated the same as a full fee paying patient and will be provided with a written tax invoice clearly showing your WellOne discount.

Just make sure you mention you are a WellOne Member when you book your appointment.

We know it seems too good to be true and that’s part of why we love it.

WellOne Fees

1. How much does it cost?

There are 4 different annual membership options which are explained in detail here.

They start from a super low $79 a year for single, up to $99 a year for a family.

2. It is worth the cost of membership?

For dental, most of our members save back the cost of their membership at their first visit. For everything else, your membership cost is generally covered within the first few visits.

As an example, if you have orthodontic treatment such as braces or Invisalign worth $8,000, you save $600 with your WellOne membership.

3. Why are memberships so affordable?

WellOne is a low overhead business designed to benefit members.

Like airbnb who don’t own any hotels or Uber who don’t own any vehicles, WellOne doesn’t own any practices so you benefit by our partnerships with practices.

With or Without Health Insurance

1. What is the difference between WellOne and health insurance?

WellOne is a membership that entitles you to receive ongoing discounts with our network of healthcare providers.
Health insurance is an arrangement by which an insurer provides a guarantee of compensation in the form of a rebate for healthcare costs in return for payment of a premium.

2. What are the benefits of WellOne?

With WellOne there are no waiting periods, no exclusions, no caps on treatment and the annual fee is super cheap.

Plus you have a wide range of practitioners to choose from or refer your local and we’ll get in contact with them.

3. Can I use WellOne with health insurance?

Yes. WellOne can be used in conjunction with Health Insurance. In other words, you can receive the WellOne discount off your practice’s usual fees and still claim a private health insurance rebate.

The only exception is if you visit a practitioner and receive preferred provider fees. In this instance you will not receive the WellOne discount as the practitioner is unable to discount even further.

Participating Practitioners

1. Do I have to visit a participating practitioner?

Yes. You need to visit one of our participating practices.

Some practices have allocated practitioners so make sure you mention you are a WellOne Member when booking to receive your discount.

If your preferred practitioner is not already with WellOne, you can click here to suggest they join and we’ll get in contact with them.

2. How do I find a participating practitioner?

Simply click here to search for a participating practitioner on our Find a Practice page.

You can also search in the WellOne App.

3. What are the special requirements for participating practitioners?

WellOne require all our participating practitioners to sign an agreement outlining strict rules for professional registration, liabilities insurance, professional standards and privacy.

Plus of course they are required to pass on the relevant discount to valid WellOne members on mention of being a WellOne member at booking and on presentation of the WellOne App.

Automatic Renewal

1. How does automatic renewal work?

WellOne membership fees are for a full year from the date of joining and will automatically renew on your anniversary date.

We will email you reminders before any payment is taken.

2. Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. You can cancel at any time by clicking here.

We offer a 7 day cooling off period whereby we will cancel your membership and refund the cost during the first 7 days.

After the cooling off period, you can cancel your membership anytime.

3. Is my information safe?

We take security very seriously! All information is transmitted by secure SSL encryption and stored on PCI-compliant servers.
